My Golf Coach ("we," "us") helps parents log their junior golfer's rounds and generate personalized practice plans. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

Who creates accounts
Only adults (18+) may create an account. Junior golfers do notsign up directly — the parent or legal guardian creates the account and adds the junior as a "player" profile. The parent is the account holder and is responsible for the data they enter, including recordings of their own children.
What we collect
- Account info: your email address and a hashed password (handled by Supabase Auth — we never see your plain-text password).
- Player profiles: a name you choose for each junior golfer. Names can be first-name-only or a nickname — you decide.
- Round data: hole-by-hole entries (par, score, putts, the transcript of what was said, and the structured shot data we parse from it).
- Audio recordings (transient): when you tap the mic, the audio clip is uploaded to our servers and forwarded to OpenAI Whisper for transcription. We do not store the audio after transcription. Only the resulting text is saved.
- Diagnoses and practice plans: the AI-generated analyses and drills we produce from your round data, plus which practice blocks you check off as completed.
- Operational logs:standard server logs (request paths, status codes, timestamps) and per-call token-usage metrics for our AI providers. These don't include round content or personally-identifiable information beyond an internal account ID.
How we use it
- To operate the core product — log rounds, run diagnoses, build plans, track completion.
- To send you practice reminders via email (you can ignore them; we'll add an opt-out option soon).
- To keep the service running — debug errors, monitor costs, prevent abuse.
We do not sell your data. We do not show ads. We do not use round data to train models.
Third-party services we use
We rely on a small set of vendors to operate. Each receives only the data needed to do its job:
- Supabase — database hosting and authentication. Stores your account, player profiles, rounds, plans, and completions.
- Vercel — application hosting. Routes requests; serves the app and its API.
- Anthropic (Claude) — receives hole transcripts (parse), round summaries (diagnose), and diagnoses (plan generation). Subject to Anthropic's privacy policy.
- OpenAI— receives audio clips for transcription via Whisper. Per OpenAI's API terms, transcription requests are not used to train models. See OpenAI's API data usage policies.
- Resend — sends transactional email (practice reminders). Receives your email address and the message contents.
Children's data and COPPA
We are designed for parents to use on behalf of their children. We don't knowingly create direct accounts for anyone under 18. If you are a parent or guardian and you believe your child has created an account directly, contact us and we will delete it.
The voice transcripts and structured shot data tied to a player profile may reflect details about a minor. Treat the player's name with the same care you treat their first name in public — use a nickname if you prefer.
Audio is processed transiently for transcription only and is not stored long-term on our servers.
Cookies
We use a small number of cookies set by Supabase Auth to keep you signed in. These cookies are essential for the service to function. We don't use tracking or advertising cookies.
Data retention
We keep your account data as long as your account is active. If you delete a round, plan, or completion, the underlying records are removed from our database (cascade-delete). If you want to delete your entire account along with all players, rounds, diagnoses, and plans, email lv@fiftyfive.music from your registered address.
Server-side logs are retained for ~30 days for debugging and abuse prevention.
Your choices
- Access or correct your data — sign in and view/edit it directly in the app.
- Export — email us and we'll provide a copy of your account's data.
- Delete — email us and we'll remove your account and all related data.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. If we make material changes that affect your rights, we'll email you at the address on file. Continued use of the service after changes means you accept the updated policy.
